Factory Accountant

We are on the lookout for a qualified and experienced Factory Accountant for our client company.Location – BadalgamaSalary – LKR 350,000/- (gross)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage product costing for factory and sales, including standard and actual costing, and perform variance analysis.
Monitor and control factory costs such as materials, labor, and overheads to ensure efficiency.
Oversee inventory accounting, including stock valuation, reconciliation, and minimizing wastage.
Prepare monthly factory reports to support the preparation of overall financial statements.
Prepare factory budgets and forecasts while driving cost reduction initiatives and improving operational efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Accounting / Finance / Commerce.
Fully qualified or part-qualified in CIMA / ACCA / CA is strongly preferred.
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in factory accounting/cost accounting.
Proven experience in costing, inventory management, budgeting, and variance analysis.
Manufacturing industry experience is essential.
Strong expertise in cost analysis, cost control, and identifying efficiencies.
Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ownership.
Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaborate with factory teams.
