We are on the lookout for a Quantity Surveyor for our client company located in Rathmalana
Responsibilities
Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects based on architectural drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
Evaluate tenders, negotiate prices, and recommend contract awards to optimize project costs while maintaining quality standards.
Monitor project expenditures and cash flow to adhere to budget constraints and financial forecasts.
Identify and assess risks and uncertainties that may impact project costs or timelines, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, monitor costs, and evaluate the quality of workmanship.
Prepare and submit progress reports, financial statements, and payment certificates to clients and stakeholders. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to address project requirements and resolve issues promptly.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Engineer in the construction industry.
NDT Professional Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Strong proficiency in cost estimation, budgeting, and procurement processes.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Excel, QS software).
Knowledge in lighting products would be an advantage.
