Accounts Executive

Responsibilities:
– Timely preparation of annual budgets, investment appraisals, forecasts to support the management in decision making.
– Support the Manager ~ Finance & Accounting in preparation of periodical financial statements and other
ad-hoc reports as and when required.
– Formulate effective financial policies & procedures in consultation with Manager — Finance & Accounting
whilst ensuring the effective implementation of them.
– Proper maintenance of Company Fixed Assets Register and follow up on receivables & payables related to the company.
– Liaise with operations, projects and other divisions to support and manage business challenges in an effective and innovative manner.
– Ensure strict compliance of ail applicable regulatory requirements including company’s act, BO! regulations,
tax regulations, etc.
Requirements:
– A Degree preferably in finance / accountancy or a related full/partial professional qualification from a recognized institution such as ICASL ACCA, CIMA with 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
– Sound knowledge in management and financial accounting, taxation and auditing.
– Hands-on experience with computerized accounting packages and MS Office; experience in ERP/accounting system implementations will be considered an added advantage.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Sinhala is a must.
– Ability to analyse and resolve problems, exercising good judgment and independent timely decisions while maintaining strong ethical standards aligned to company policies and rules.
