Accountant – Financial Reporting & Control

We are on the lookout for an Accountant – Financial Reporting & Control for our client company located in Colombo 05.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leading the finance reporting team in line with the Company and Group financial policies and controls.
Preparation and submission of financial and management reports in accordance with prescribed timelines.
Formulate Budgets and engage in Budgetary Control activities.
Prepare and Review Monthly Management Accounts for reporting purposes liaising with other Company Accountants.
Review and report Financial KPI achievement of each company \ divisions and Report same to region monthly
Prepare \ Finalize required reports on special assignments to Management in an accurate and timely manner.
Delivers accurate and reliable output from specific tasks during monthly, quarterly and annual reporting processes.
Maintains a working relationship with other teams and stakeholders in other finance pillars.
Supports control and reporting compliance including support in preparing technical accounting memos.
Supports the audit process, liaising with external audit on appropriate workstreams.
Supports continual improvements in quality and efficiency of financial reporting processes, in collaboration with the wider finance team
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 02 years’ and above experience in similar role within Audit / non Audit sector is a must.
Professional qualification (Part\Full) from a recognized accounting body (e.g., CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA)
Familiarity with Sri Lanka financial reporting standards (SLFRS\IFRS)
Ability to analyze and evaluate financial data and make informed decisions
Should have experience in handling ERP system
Excellent written and verbal communication in English is a must.
