The candidate should ideally;
• possess a full or a part qualification in Auditing / Accountancy / Banking.
• possess at least 4-6 years’ experience in Banking. internal auditing and or external Auditing preferably in the financial service sector
• possess a sound knowledge on branch banking operations, credit, banking regulations, governance, risk management and controls
• have an excellent knowledge in report writing and analytical skills
• have the ability to meet reporting deadlines and multi-task
• be willing to travel outside Colombo (Continuously on very frequent basis ) to carry out audits and investigations
You will be responsible for,
• conducting audits on branch & credit operations and department audits to ensure risks are assessed, controlled and are compliant with Internal policies and regulations
• providing support to finalize the audit reports, review the audit programmes and ensure that adequate audit evidences are gathered to support audit findings /recommendations with a view to adding value whilst maintaining the quality of audit work
• writing & presenting clear & concise reports and conducting audit discussions with the auditee to ensure appropriate action is taken to dose audit observations while quality of the output is maintained by the Department
• undertaking special audits/Investigations and assignments as requested by [lead of Internal Audit / Board Audit Committee / other Board sub committees / CEO.
