Main Responsibilities
Design and build a data science development platform in Python
Develop Linux/Bash scripts
Configure and automate EC2, ECS and EKS instance operations in a secure environment
Set up Docker platforms for the development, testing and production environments
Build Python, SQL (ANSI-Standard and Snowflake) and DBT Cloud data pipelines
Implement Azure build pipeline processes
Use Jenkins and Octopus Deploy for build-testing and deployment
Set up version controls for all codes and models
Work collaboratively in a global setting while learning new technologies
Document solutions
Build and enhance continuous integration (CI), continuous development (CD) and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD pipeline)
Ensure quality of deliverables within project timelines
Independently manage daily client communication, especially over calls
Drive work towards completion, with accuracy and on time
Implement or adhere to coding standards and best practices
Demonstrate high attention to detail, with the ability to work in a dynamic environment whilst maintaining high quality standards and a natural aptitude to develop good internal working relationships
Perform quality checks and adhere to the agreed service level agreement (SLA)/turnaround time (TAT)

Required Background
Bachelors/Master’s degree in Computer Science/Statistics or Engineering
Strong skills in programming languages, such as Python, SQL and Unix/Linux Shell
Experience in building Python packages, OOP (object-oriented) programming and PEP8
Knowledge in building unit tests and implementing test cases
Experience in DevOps, AWS (S3, CLI, CodeDeploy, CodeBuild and CodePipeline), Snowflake and DBT Cloud
AWS experience and skills in S3, Athena, Secrets Manager, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy and CodePipeline
Knowledge of Azure build pipeline (an added advantage)
Experience in DevOps, version control, configuration management and data management
Proficient in using DevOps tools, such as Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, Docker and Github, and selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools
Experience in setting up AWS cloud network connectivity and security
Experience in implementing various development, testing, automation tools and IT infrastructure
Extensive experience in defining and setting development, test, release, update and support processes for DevOps operations
Experience in monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimising wastage
Ability to articulate the pros and cons of design/implementation/deployment options and increase the sophistication of the alerting and escalation mechanisms
Solid knowledge of all areas in software development, including requirement gathering, designing, development, testing, maintenance and quality control
Experience using the Agile methodology and knowledge of financial services/private equity
