Musaeus College (MC) is one of the largest and most dynamic Schools in Sri Lanka, serving a student population of over 6soo, and has a very successful track record of delivering transformational education.
We are seeking for a self-motivated, energetic and result oriented professional to join Musaeus College Finance department.
Responsibilities:
– Execute monthly general ledgertasks and ensure that month•end closing is completed accurately on time
– Perform all Accounts Payable (AP) functions.
– Verify Payment Vouchers prior to payment.
– Compute taxes (SSCL, VAT, APIT) and prepare tax returns.
– Verify financial statements, ledgers, and accounts and making necessary corrections.
– Preparation of monthly accounts and other management accounts prior to the Board Meeting.
– Contribute to the development of accounting processes and procedures by assisting in the fulfillment of external and internal audit requests related to assigned areas of responsibility
– Assist in the preparation of audits and liaise with auditors during the audit process o Dealing with Banks and other stakeholders in a professional manner.
– Any other responsibilities delegated by the Head of Finance.
Requirements:
– Fully qualified in AAT or part qualification in CA
– Minimum a year of audit and assurance experience.
– Minimum two years’ experience in a similar capacity o Solid knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles and practices
