A well reputed, leading business organization dealing with house hold-ware at Colombo 06 is looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Stores and Logistics Manager
Job Description:
Stores and Logistics Manager should organize the storage and distribution of goods. In this role you would ensure the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost. You may be involved in transportation, stock control, warehousing and monitoring the flow of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
• To regulate stock requisition order from head office
• Take stocks & be fully responsible f or the stocks, stores, the fleet & staff
• Label & maintain the stocks in categories and usage
• Ensure smooth mechanism to dispatch and receive goods quickly & effectively
• To counsel &guide the employees according to the operational guidelines set by management to ensure productivity.
• Plan & organize distribution with cost effective distribution strategies
• Proper notes & authorization forms to be implemented
• Proper inventory to be maintained at all times
• Timely cleaning, arranging & sorting of stocks
• To keep track & well maintain the fleet of vehicles at all times.
• Ability to operate them in a safe & efficient manner
• Timely physical stock check with system records
• Report & suggestions to improve packing, etc
• Minimize sales returns owing to damages, wrong item delivery or shortage of goods, etc
• Allocate and manage staff resources according to changing needs
Qualities and Qualifications:
• GCE A/L
• 3 years experience in store keeping & stores operational procedures
• Basic knowledge in kitchenware would be an added advantage
• Must be familiar with computerized sales & inventory systems
• Age below 35 years.
