Procurement Executive – Engineering and Capex
Job Purpose:
Procuring of engineering spares/supplies and capital equipment in line with the operational requirements and budgetary provisions to deliver the best value to manufacturing operations of the company.
Main Responsibilities:
– Assist maintenance and capital expenditure planning by providing budgetary inputs on spares, equipment and other engineering services related costs.
– Liaise with Regional Sourcing Group Managers and other external sources in identifying optimum sources.
– Pre-qualification of prospective suppliers and contractors in line with the techno-commercial and OH&S benchmarks of the company
– Preparation of Required for Quotations and floating tenders for civil/electrical/mechanical jobs related to Operational and Capital Expenditure.
– Review offers and provide recommendations to management on supplier/contractor selection.
– Optimize the lead times and replenishment cycles of spares and supplies inventory by identifying the optimum sourcing methodology.
– Initiate and develop vendor managed inventory, consignment stock models for consumables and indirect materials.
Qualifications and Experience:
– A graduate in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical and Process Engineering or equivalent qualification from a reputed institute or Graduate level qualification in Procurement and Logistic Management.
– A minimum of two years experience in Procurement and Materials Management and/or Engineering, Operations in a manufacturing environment
