ShipXpress is based in Florida and is a leading provider of cloud-based supply chain management software solutions for North America. Currently, we have major expansion plans taking place and require Application Support Engineers to work from our offshore development center in Colombo.
You would be a self-driven individual with hands on experience in leveraging web and mobile technologies for cross-platform app development, and would confidently grasp new technologies in a short time.
You will deliver technical support for managing all aspects of configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting the production environment. You will understand high-level technologies, be responsible for service logs/status, maintain documentation and perform diagnosis of malfunctioning systems, software components. You will identify the root cause and take action or recommend corrective measures to avoid down time.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
• Relevant degree or recognized professional qualification.
• At least 2 years hands on experience in application support / software troubleshooting.
• Experienced in liaising with customers & software developers, to ensure application uptime and speedy resolution of issues in production environments.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting software deployment environments dealing with code, application server configurations, operating systems and network configurations. • Knowledge of programming languages (Java), databases (MySQL, Oracle), Application Servers (Tomcat, 1Boss) and Operating Systems (Linux & Windows).
• Good communication skills in English.
• Ability to confidently speak and write to customers, and log/explain technical issues with clarity.
• Willing to do 24/7 shift roster on a weekly rotation basis and evening shifts.
