Senior Project Manager (Youth Create Project) – Colombo

S/he will be primarily responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring all project activities and establishing and strengthening key relationships with state and non state actors identified in the project including following;

• Manage the project according to contractual requirements, operating priorities, organization’s project standards and principles.
• Conduct periodic assessments to ensure project implementation is happening according to the agreed upon work plans and budgets
• Conduct regular progress review meetings with field teams and partner organizations to ensure quality is maintained and address any problems
• Preparation of donor reports in a timely and efficient manner in close collaboration with the M&E team and Area Director.
• Develop Annual Performance Plans for all team members according to the organizational standards

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences or similar fields
• 3-5 years working in the development or humanitarian sector with a proven record of success in leading or supporting the setting up of monitoring and evaluation systems.
• Strong analytical, report-writing, and presentation skills, including the ability to present complex issues clearly and concisely.
• Must be fluent in English (written and verbal) and in either Sinhalese or Tamil (fluency in both languages preferred)
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, relationship-building and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively by support, facilitation, and co-ordination.
• Proven initiative, flexibility and ability to prioritize in a demanding environment and to tight deadlines

The position will be based in Colombo with travelling to the field in North & East
