Senior Manager — Consumer Electronics (Sri Lanka)

THE JOB:
• Promote, coordinate & manage all consumer electronics categories of wow.lk with accountability to drive the annual target in line with the company’s objectives
• Plan, develop and execute strategic plans annually, monthly & quarterly to achieve the sales targets whilst monitoring market trends & competitor trends
• Develop & motivate sales teams within the unit by initiating periodic KPI reviews for improved performance
• Build and maintain effective relationship with key and potential merchants and provide expert knowledge and support to ensure operational excellence and standard application of operating standards
• Acquire & manage key partnerships of brands with local / overseas and merchants to source fast selling / trending products
• Proactively identify bestselling & slow moving products within the categories & develop mechanism to capitalize on meeting company objectives & minimizing liabilities
• Envisage & design different sales channels for maximizing revenue streams. Planning & ensuring participation of team in offline sales
The Person:
• Should posses over 6 years’ experience in sales of which a minimum 2 years of managerial experience
• Proven experience in a similar role, with experience in retail & e-commerce will be a prerequisite
• A recognized qualification in sales & marketing (SLIM / CIM) and a qualification digital marketing would be an added advantage
• Ability to build a vast portfolio of suppliers / merchants both locally & internationally within the industry
• In depth knowledge of consumer electronics with the ability to understand future trends in the market
• A proven record of result achievement through strategic thinking & implementing key initiatives
• A self-motivated individual with the ability to drive performance 8, work under strict deadlines
