“Thusare Talking Hands” is acupressure treatment and training center which was established with a twofold objective;
1. To provide a service for people who are suffering from physical and mental pain due to stressful lifestyles.
2. To provide employment opportunity for visually impaired people through a series of training, which is our effort to establish a process that empowers visually impaired people from disadvantaged communities to become equal partners of sustainable development in Sri Lanka.
Thusare Talking Hands is organizing by registered non-governmental organization named Action for Peace Capability and Sustainability (APCAS).
Vacancies exist for the following positions:
Programme Coordinator for “Social Business Activities” (Acupressure Training & Therapy Center)
Requirement:
– Have a good understanding of visually impaired people
– Communication Skills in English, Sinhala. Tamil will be an advantage
– Be a team player with excellent self-management skills
– Experience in the social service sector considered an advantage
– A Comprehensive working knowledge of MS Office and using IT
– Knowledge for Marketing will be an advantage
– Basic knowledge of accounting
– Be not above 40 years
Key Responsibilities:
– Organizing a training session, workshop and seminar
– Assistant for administration and accounting work
– Report writing/Monitoring/Evaluation
– Social business promotion
– Coordination with media representative
– Assistant to manage the training center (Customer Service)
Conditions:
– Based in Colombo7&5 and should go to the fields (out of Colombo) if necessary.
Salary:
– Negotiable and reasonable remuneration will be offered depending on qualifications and experience.
