Programme Coordinator — Advocacy, Communications & Campaigns
Programme Coordinator – Advocacy is responsible for coordination of activities of the Advocacy Unit and implementing projects related to Advocacy of FPA Sri Lanka.
He / She will:
• Implement advocacy and communications activities that will increase FPA Sri Lanka’s visibility and enhance FPA Sri Lanka’s credibility as a strategic partner for the government, parliamentarians and broader public through identified strategies for Advocacy & Communication.
• Work closely with Senior Manager-Media Advocacy & Communication and Senior Manager-Advocacy & Campaigns, to formulate a long term Advocacy and Communication strategy for the organization
• Plan and implement media campaigns related to advocacy activities
• Strengthen community mobilization through public awareness programmes
• Monitor, evaluate and report all advocacy activities as per FPA’s requirements.
Job Specifications:
• Degree /Diploma/Professional qualification in Development Studies, Political Science, Social Science or any other related field
• A minimum of 2 years experiences in the development, public relations field
• Ability to converse in, and translate to Sinhala and Tamil will be a distinct advantage
• Age between 21-30 years
• An individual who is self-motivated, creative and results-oriented, is preferred
• A considerable amount of travel to project areas in several districts is envisaged.
