Universal College Lanka (UCL) is looking for the following:
An Interior Fit Out Manager
Job Description:
• Manage project from conception to completion of a 20,000 sq.ft fit-out for a higher education institute which will include coordination with Eduko consultants, design consultants and contractor.
• Contract will be for 4 months.
• Establish budget, prepare project schedules and monitor adherence to terms of contract, design intent and specifications.
• Coordinate project teams’ and consultants work to ensure timely and complete submission of documents necessary for construction.
• Manage all contractors, sub-contractors working on site including their work programmes.
• Hold regular meetings with contractors, sub-contractors to track progress of works.
Required Education and Work Experience:
• Bachelors degree in architecture or interior design; equivalent experience.
• 8+ years’ experience interior fit-out works.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:-
• Extensive knowledge of the commercial interior fit-out works.
• Widespread knowledge of materials, furnishings and construction methods related to interior design.
• Proven ability to write and negotiate contracts for services, consultants and contractors.
• Comprehensive knowledge of design principles and aesthetics.
• Intermediate MS Office application skills.
• Intermediate skills using a project management software application, MS Project preferred.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage diverse responsibilities within allotted time and/or budget.
• Proven ability to manage all project phases.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines without compromising design intent, quality or internal relationships.
• Working knowledge of budget preparation and the proven ability to manage projects within budgetary constrain..
