Functional Architect – Telecommunications
Our client is a US based public company providing IT consultancy, technology and outsourcing services globally. They are looking for a suitable talent to take over the above position.
Work Experience:
* 8+ years of telecom billing industry experience with advanced knowledge of the telecommunications sector and expertise in the billing domain area
* Experience using the four components of the TeleManagement Forum Framework model (i.e. TMF Business Process Framework (eTom), TMF Application Framework (TAM), TMF Information Framework (SID), TMF Integration Framework)
Academic Qualifications:
* A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent.
Technical Skill Requirement:
* Specialized knowledge in the functional areas of Billing, Customer Relationship Management including Order Management and Service Activation.
* Expert in design principles and in-depth knowledge of billing product’s software design and application integration.
* Previous implementation experience demonstrating comprehensive architecture and design skills.
* Preparation of detailed functional requirements and estimates.
* Applied knowledge of telecommunication’s OSS concepts and components and the ability to relate customer requirements to the OSS solution.
* Advanced understanding of multi-tiered, relational database oriented application architectures, including robustness and performance considerations.
* Experience with UNIX, Oracle, Perl, advanced SOL and Windows environment.
* Ability to learn Single view billing system architecture quickly and apply Single view concepts, solutions and estimating practices based on strong knowledge in the telecommunications area
Soft Skill Requirement:
* Highly developed problem solving skills to identify, diagnose and resolve complex problems.
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize ‘important tasks in consolation with the management.
* Advanced communication skills to lead discussions and influence decisions with the senior management, partners and customers.
* Coaching and mentoring skills needed in time to use for developers and testers.
* Ability to work within a dynamic environment highly dependent on operational efficiencies within the billing solution.
* Strong interpersonal skills in terms of both oral and written communication.
* Able to work with remote teams.
