Field Officer – Child Protection (Sri Lanka)

LEADS is a faith based national NGO operating island wide, with a focus on child centred community development and child protection projects. We are looking for a dynamic individuals to manage, coordinate, implement and monitor Child Protection related projects.
Field Officer – Child Protection – Kurunegala
This position represents the implementation team of LEADS and will require basic knowledge & experience in community organizing, program delivery in the field level and community based Child Protection, and will support the implementation, monitoring & evaluation and reporting of the project. S/He must have good command of written and spoken Sinhala, a good knowledge of Tamil or English will be an added qualification. The position will be based in Kurunegala with frequent travel to the beneficiary locations.
Qualification / Experiences:
• Diploma from a recognized university in Child Psychology / Child Protection or Community Mobilization
• 2+ years’ field experience in implementing Child Protection / Counselling and/or Child-focused programming in the field level. Experience in a recognized NGO in similar capacity will be an added advantage.
Competencies required:
• Computer literacy is a pre requisite, with the ability to manage, analyse, collate data and generate project reports.
• Candidates should be able to work on his/her own with a minimum supervision.
• Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and cross-cultural skills including the ability to build collaborative relationships internally and externally with sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, social and political issues.
• Ability to rationally solve problems, plan a course of action using analytical, conceptual and forward thinking abilities to achieve an effective resolution.
Salary negotiable.
