Assistant Manager Human Resources and Operations

The Imperial Institute of Higher Education (IIHE) is one of Sri Lanka’s leading private tertiary educational institutes offering undergraduate and post graduate programmes from the University of Wales UK. Since commencing operations in 1996, IIHE has grown into a knowledge conglomerate with the Imperial Institute of Computing in 2007, and the Imperial Institute of Hospitality and Leisure in 2012.

Expectations:

The Institute is looking for a competent and hard working individual to join part of the dynamic team at IIHE. The position would to develop / maintain the HR functions and Operations at IIHE. These HR functions will focus the academic staff. non academic staff and the visiting faculty along with the monitoring of the operational matters of the organization.

Key responsibilities:

– To maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and assessment and job descriptions for all positions.
– To facilitate / maintain processes to recruit suitable individuals for vacant and required positions in the company.
– To evaluate performances of each member and recommend training, counseling etc.
– To monitor daily HR activities of all parties involved in the organization
– To improve! develop consistent guidelines and legislative guidelines and comply with all current legal standards.
– To ensure staff welfare and their development and career progression.
– To maintain HR records by designing a filing and retrieval system: keeping past and current records.
– To assist the CEO in Operational activities such as procurement and maintenance of the premises etc.

The suitable candidate should possess the following:

– BSc (Hon) Degree in HR (Specialized) OR
– A Postgraduate Diploma in HR Management from a recognized University/Institute.

With at least 05 years of experience in the same field, handling HR activities and a fair knowledge of Employment Relations and relevant laws.

Age limit: should not exceed 45 years.

Reporting directly to CEO.

An attractive remuneration package will be offered.
