Accountancy Practice Bookkeeper

We are a UK based forward-thinking firm of accountants located in Greater London looking to recruit for the above position to work in our back office based in Mount Lavinia, Colombo.
We are a team focused practice where directors and staff work closely together.
We offer Accounts, VAT, Payroll and Taxation services and our firm has a broad mix of SME client
portfolio and the successful candidate would be expected to be involved in a variety of work
assignments for UK based clients.
Book-Keeping and preparation of VAT Returns.
Processing payroll
Required correspondence with clients.
Back-office admin work.
Essential Requirements are:
– Part qualified candidates (AAT, CIMA, CA)
– Previous experience in a back office operations of Accountancy Practice for UK based clients
– Minimum of 2 years’ bookkeeping experience within a firm of Chartered Accountants
– Whilst all work is reviewed and supervised by the Director/Manager, the candidate would be expected to complete full assignments with minimal supervision
– Experience of accountancy practice software – iris, Sage 50 Accounts, QuickBooks, Xero, Payroll Manager etc. would be an advantage
– Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and IT Skills
Working Hours — Mon – Fri 8.30am to 5.30pm (UK Time, Flexible)
