One of our prestigious Clients’ who is a leading Multinational IT company based in Colombo is looking for a skilled “Technical Writer” to join their team immediately.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicate with designers and developers to understand product details.
Collaborate with technical staff.
Analyze and manage existing and potential content.
Create and maintain the information architecture.
Make high-quality documentation that meets standards, is appropriate, and easy to use.
Produce and distribute tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications.
Research and collect usability feedback from customers, designers, and manufacturers.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
Graduate in journalism with proficiency in computers. (Non-related to programming.)
Certification as an Advanced Technical Writer is preferable.
Minimum 1-2 years work experience in the same technical writing line.
Hands-on experience in technical writing of software documentation.
Hands-on experience in creating various kinds of documentation and videos for processes as well as projects.
Ability to translate highly technical information into easily understandable information for customers.
Creative skills and usage of photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts that increase users’ understanding.

MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Adobe RoboHelp 9 HTML
Photoshop, MS Paint
Snagit & Visio
Captivate
Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
Good time-management skills.
Team player with good interpersonal skills.
