PalVision Corporation, a Singapore-based company, with over 30 years experience in delivering technology solutions internationally, is seeking aggressive personnel to join our dynamic team as:
Linux Developer (Networks)
Location: Colombo
Duties / Responsibilities:
• Design, develop and implement a broadband gateway system to manage internet access across users
• Continually assess the system against potential threats and vulnerabilities
• Ensure that the security of all deployed systems is actively maintained according to industry standards
• Provide documentation of all new developments and updates, and ensure all such records are kept up-to-date
Mandatory Experience / Knowledge Required
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Appropriate certifications encouraged: CCNP, CCSP, F5 System Engineer or RHEL
• High level of expertise with at least 3 years professional experience in the following:
* All things Linux, Linux shell scripting, Bash, Debian packages, Linux Kernels
* WebCGI on Perl / Python scripting
* Firewall technologies, IP tables configuration
* Networking, Load balancing, IP addressing schemes, routing (server level), NATTing DNS experience; packet capture analysis (Wireshark, tcpdump, snoop, Sniffer Pro)
Candidates with prior experience in development of internet hotspot gateways will be preferred.
