Executive Merchandising – Developments
Accountabilities:
You will be responsible to develop a range of products from its inception up to its readiness for commercial production. She/he is required to ensure sufficient raw materials & capacity is available to meet the agreed timelines with our customers.
A great level of communication is needed when the products are developed whilst costing is also done on each of the sample gates to meet the customer’s timely demand and attend to their meetings etc.
Your responsibilities include:
Development of product from design to a commercial product. Ensuring sufficient raw material is available, planning samples to meet the customer demand, forecast sample capacity and ensuring the capacity is filled. Costing products to ensure the budgeted profitability is met. Be the voice of the customer to the factory and voice of factory to the customer making sure all aspects aligned as planned to ensure a successful product commercialization. Finally making sure we are compensated for what is shipped and following up on payments.
Project management:
Strong hold on timelines and following up on every single task that is taken for a successful product launch. Whilst making sure key dates, gates and making the product/samples available key meetings.
Lean and MOS:
Contribute to the implementation and sustenance of Lean(MOS) initiatives whilst driving Lean objectives to achieve the set KPIs and ensure that individual KPIs meet the required standards
Qualifications & Experience:
• CIM, Degree/ Diploma in a relevant field
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience which includes Merchandising would be an advantage
• Ability to work on the SAP system
• Knowledge of the product development and Supply Chain
• Strong Communication and Negotiation Skills
• Good analytical
• Good Project Management skills
