Accountant
The Role: reporting to the Financial Controller of the Company, the Accountant will strive to achieve the departmental goals ensuring the operational initiatives are complied with the statutory and company requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities are inclusive of:
• Preparation & Finalization of Monthly/Annual Accounts
• Adherence to SL & International Accounting Standards
• Full responsibility of General Ledger Control – ERP & all related document maintenance.
• Maintenance of accurate records of Sales, AP, AR & Bank and Fixed Asset Register & Documents
• Ensure payment of statutory remittances and submission of documents to authorities
• Managing all activities related to Govt. or other entities
• Preparation of Foreign Payments, LC etc. and maintenance of all Import, Export related documents
• Liaising with Banks, IRD, BOI and External Auditors.
• Supervision of Accounts Assistant’s/Cashier activities
Requirements:
• Full/Part Qualification preferably CA Sri Lanka or CIMA/ACCA with Audit Experience
• Commercial Experience of 2-3 years (In Manufacturing industry preferred)
• Experience in working in ERP (MS NAV/AX, SAP) is essential
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
