The Position:

We are rapidly expanding and we need more Service Provisioning Administrators for immediate recruitment.

– Exetel’s Colombo office is at the World Trade Centre (WTC).
– You will be required to work an 8 hour ’shift’ from 3.00 am to 12.00 noon five days each week.

The people who are currently successful at Exetel in these positions have the following characteristics:

– IT related degree and/or MSc
– Solid personal experience with modems, routers, networking and broadband services
– Patience, Courtesy and the ability to paying attention to ultimate detail

Job Description:

The duties of this position are to answer incoming telephone calls, provisioning emails and helpdesk tickets of the following types:

– Respond to customer inquiries in relation to delivery and schedule of our major broadband services
– An understanding in Telecommunications infrastructure and how it works
– An understanding in systems and process procedure, tracking information through multiple systems
– An ability to understand database structure and ‘following up’ cases through our many suppliers
– Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to quality check reports
– Working with other Exetel people on various activities

Essential Requirements:

Customer communication will be via telephone, email or a helpdesk web interface, so excellent verbal and written English is essential.

– A university degree level of education is mandatory
– Two years commercial work in a related field is highly desirable
– Travelling time to Colombo 1 must be less than one hour

Remuneration:

Remuneration will be based on experience and qualifications but will not be less than Rs. 60,000 if you are allocated to the afternoon shift OR Rs.90,000/- if you are allocated to the early morning shift that operates from 3.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon.
