Post of Programmes Manager
LEADS is a faith based national NGO operating island wide, with a focus on community development and child protection projects. We are looking for a dynamic individual to manage, coordinate and monitor development related and Child Protection related projects.
This position represents the Senior Management of LEADS and will require outstanding leadership qualities, in-depth knowledge & experience in whole programme cycle and Child Protection. He / She must have good command of written and spoken English, and Tamil, a good knowledge of Sinhala will be an added qualification. Computer literacy is a pre requisite, with the ability to manage, analyze, collate data and generate project reports. The position will involve regular travel to all project areas island wide with main focus on the programmes in the North, East and South. The candidate should be able to work on his/her own with a minimum supervision.
Essentials:
• Bachelor’s degree or post-graduation in community development or social sciences
• 5+ years’ experience managing development programs in an NGO preferably in Community Transformation, Reconciliation, Restoration and/or Child-focused programming. Experience in a recognized NGO in similar capacity will be an added advantage.
• Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and cross-cultural skills including the ability to build collaborative relationships internally and externally with sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, social and political issues.
• Conflict management and ability to rationally solve problems, plan a course of action using analytical, conceptual, strategic and forward thinking abilities to achieve an effective resolution.
• Demonstrated expertise in project, budget and resource management
Desirable:
• Knowledge of donor requirements and experience of NGO award management systems and processes
• Knowledge of the requirements and experience managing awards from major donors including budgeting, eligibility issues, compliance management, and reporting
We offer The selected candidate will be offered an all-inclusive salary of SLR 90,000/= to 110,000/= per month with potentials for career growth.
