Simply Strawberries, the retail arm of Jagro (Pvt) Ltd (an ISO 22000 Certified company), offers our premium line of produce in ready-to-eat form, in a family-friendly cafe environment.
We are looking for an experienced & dynamic professional who can deliver the quality customers have come to expect of Jagro, to drive business expansion and lead our young business.

Locations: Currently Colombo 5 & 7. Soon to open another in Colombo & Rajagiriya.
General Manager
The Jagro General Manager is responsible for managing a positive environment which provides fast, efficient and friendly service whilst ensuring a Total Quality Experience for both our customers and Team Members. He/she will help set the pace of work for the Team and craft the personality of the stores by being an advocate of training, customer service and product quality, encouraging safe work practices and demonstrating commitment to our Guiding Principles.
He/she will bring industry best practice and apply it to our business, leading the Team to efficiently and profitably manage the Simply Strawberries chain of cafes.
Qualifications:
• College education preferred
• 3 years management experience in the Food & Beverage sector
• Experience with a foreign retail chain would be a bonus
You should be able to:
• Manage & monitor MIS systems
• Manage a service team at multiple locations, handle resource planning, recruitment & training
• Handle the procurement function (planning, negotiate contracts, ensure smooth stock flows)
• Work with relevant government authorities to obtain approvals, facilitate business expansion
• Work as required (monitoring operations on weekends, evenings & special events, as needed)
• Organize well, get involved in the detail, multi-task and think on your feet
• Manage a network of retail outlets, its administrative office and travel between them as required
• Communicate precisely and well, verbally & in written form, both in English & Sinhala
• Liaise with the management in order to obtain strategic direction and guidelines on branding & operational requirements
