Job Summary
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for managing and developing sales operations within the assigned area to achieve revenue targets, expand market presence, and lead a high-performing sales team. The role involves distributor management, field force supervision, and execution of sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement sales plans to achieve area sales targets
Manage, coach, and motivate sales representatives and supervisors
Appoint, manage, and evaluate distributors and dealers within the area
Ensure effective market coverage, visibility, and availability of products
Monitor sales performance, secondary sales, and collection targets
Execute trade promotions, activations, and marketing initiatives
Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback
Ensure compliance with company policies and sales processes
Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and performance reviews

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, or a related field
Minimum 5–8 years of sales experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or area management role
Experience in FMCG / Pharmaceutical / Consumer Goods industry preferred
Strong knowledge of distributor and channel management

Ability to work independently and meet targets
