Lions Financial Group is an accounting and finance advisory practice based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Our
team has a diverse skill set including public and private equity, debt, corporate finance, taxation and accounting. Our firm is looking to set up a local branch office in Sri Lanka.

Accountant

We are looking for an Accountant with experience in a similar position. Working knowledge of Quickbooks will be an asset, and a good command of English is required, as well as strong attention to detail. The position will be based in Colombo and you will be corresponding with North American clients and our team remotely.

Qualifications and Experience

– Qualification from a recognized accounting institute (ACCA and/or CIMA)
– Experienced in accounting or audit
– Some knowledge of Canadian GAAP or IFRS and Canadian sales taxation, including payroll would be an asset
– Sound knowledge in accounting software (Quickbooks)
– Great command of Microsoft Excel
– Preparation of financial statements with notes
– Previous experience in preparing bank reconciliations, sales reconciliations, general journal entries,
amortization schedules and accounts payable
– Experience in preparing cash flow projections an asset

Successful Candidates will be:

– Fluent in English
– Energetic and self-motivated
– Aged between 25-35 years
– Able to work independently
