Warehouse Assistant (Inventory Replenisher for Engineering Items)
Job Overview
The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and replenishing activities for the Engineering Department to ensure all items are purchased at competitive prices without compromising on quality and received by the organization on time
Education / Attributes
– Engineering Diploma from a recognized institution
– Diploma in Purchasing / Material Management/ Warehouse and Inventory Control or equivalent
– Computer literacy with Excel/ System related knowledge
– Good team player
– Target driven and ability think proactively
Responsibilities
– Identify the adhoc requirements of engineering items/ consumables well in advance and replenish them accordingly minimizing disturbance to the production process
– Searching for the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible purchase cost
– Evaluating suppliers based on cost, quality, service, availability, reliability and selection variety
– Sourcing new suppliers, leading the vendor selection process together with purchasing managing key supplier relationships addressing any delivery problem in a timely and efficient manner
– Placing orders, coordinating delivery schedules and making supplier contracts with excellent follow up
Experience:
– 2 to 3 years qualifying experience in similar capacity in a related environment preferably with system exposure
