Vacancy for Accounts Assistant cum Imports Assistant

We are a company established in 1992 dealing with products in the field of Health Care, Orthopedic Appliances,
Hospital Furniture & Equipments, Medical and Surgical Products, Rehabilitation Aids. items used in Sports Medicine etc in Addition to Sports Goods.

Vacancy for the above post is available with the following criteria:-

– Age between: 21 – 35.
– Area: close proximity to Colombo.
– Written and Spoken English and Sinhala.
– Ability to correspond with Foreign Suppliers independently.
– Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages.
– Available to travel on field work
– Past experience of over 2 years in Imports and Accounts.
– G.C.E. O/L’s with credit passes in Maths and English.
– G.C.E. A/L’s (Commerce Maths).
– Further studies in Accounting (ACCA, CIMA etc).

Main Job Criteria:-

1. Handle all matters relating to registration of Medical Products with Cosmetics Devices Drugs Authority (CDDA).
2. Coordinate with foreign suppliers to obtain required documents & prepare dossier for submission to the above.
3. Obtain freight and Insurance quotes for shipments.
4. Prepare import documents for clearing agent and coordinate with stores to prepare receiving of shipments.
5. Coordinate with accounts to prepare import costing.
6. Assisting in Preparing monthly financial reports (cash flow. P & L. B/Sheet etc)

The recruited candidate would receive a basic salary in par with industry standards along with allowances after probation period.
