Software Engineer (Java)

What you will do,

A Java Software Engineers is an instrumental member of Java based IT development projects with a responsibility for full life-cycle application development, software testing and quality assurance through test-driven development approach and apply the appropriate standards, processes and principles during daily duties. A Java Software Engineer will work in a team or individually and interface towards and work with our clients on need basis and be responsible for securing that our software development efforts are of high quality and meet the requirements of our valued clients. Some travel might be necessary.

Areas of responsibilities:

* Work closely with the project manager, IT Architect, product owners and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
* Engage in all aspects of development and contribute towards eliciting, understanding and articulating requirements.
* Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains components of enterprise-wide solutions to total system or subsystems using internally created and/or off the shelf products.
* Implementation and maintenance of all stages of the product life-cycle.

Java Software Engineering is a vital skill to Mazarin, and we are continuously improving our ways of working to be more efficient, to deliver our projects faster, and to improve the quality.

Required skills & Technical experience:

* University degree in IT, computer science, computer engineering or an equivalent qualification.
* 2 years of experience working with IT project or product using JEE technologies, providing you with the knowledge, experience and tools to act as a Software Engineer on development projects.
* Experience in Agile projects environment and have mastered one or more Agile processes including activities such as test driven development, continuous integration and pair programming.
* Posses in depth knowledge and experience in Object Oriented design and development and design patterns.
* In-depth understanding and experience in JEE technologies and frameworks including JSP programming, Spring framework, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate, JPA, Web Services and DWR.
* Adequate experience in database design and development with MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012 or Oracle to execute design and development tasks related to data persistence.
* Knowledge in scripting language such as XHTML, DHTML, XML, lavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, CSS will be helpful for effective software development.
* Knowledge in or willingness to learn Android development or other technologies will be considered as an advantage.
* Fluent in English, having clarity and precision in both verbal and written communications
