Finlay Cold Storage (Pvt) Limited is South Asia’s largest 3PL Temperature Controlled facility and Sri Lanka’s largest and most technologically advanced cold storage service provider, offering “one stop shop” Temperature Controlled warehousing solutions to the Sri Lankan market.

The spectrum of services offered include: storage of product, order picking and loading according to customer requirements and inventory management using a state- of-the-art online warehouse management system.

Applications are invited from suitable qualified persons to fill the following vacancy:

Operations Manager

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

– Overall management of warehouse operations including transport services.
– Preparing and presenting operational review reports/ plans to senior management.
– Monitoring KPIs and ensuring performance parameters are met.
– Introducing new operational initiatives to further improve service delivery standards.
– Conceptualizing and formulating solutions for customers focusing on total logistics services.
– Managing a diversified workforce and coordinating initiatives and actions with Group HR.
– Maintaining high Health & Safety standards amongst the operational team.
– Developing long-term relationships with customers and acting as a focal point for customer operational requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess:

– Over 05 years of experience in operations/ logistics in 3PL warehousing or a related industry.
– A qualification in logistics/ Supply Chain Management or related disciplines.
– Bachelor’s degree and/ or postgraduate degree would be an added advantage.
– Knowledge of multi—user warehousing and industry best practices.
– Leadership skills needed to manage teams.
– An excellent command of English and Sinhalese and the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels is mandatory.
– ICT literacy (Microsoft applications) and extensive knowledge of WMS applications.
