Marketing Manager (Pharmaceutical) (Sri Lanka)

Our client is one of the leading multinational laboratories engaged in the research, development & manufacturing of “Pharmaceutical Chemicals” is looking for a competent “Marketing Manager” to work in their Colombo office immediately!

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking an innovative marketing manager to promote our company’s brand, products, and services. In this role, you will be optimizing our marketing strategies, managing the marketing department’s budget and staff, as well as preparing forecasts.

To ensure success, you will need extensive knowledge of marketing strategies and the ability to identify new business leads.

Develop and implement the marketing strategy and plan to effectively reach customers, communicate the value proposition and influence the purchase of our products and maximize profits.
Establishing new marketing leads for the development of business.
Maintaining and updating customer databases and arranging the effective distribution of marketing materials.
Understanding current and potential customers.
Prepare sale promotion activities, marketing report, exhibition plan, and public relations plan.
Researching and reporting on external opportunities and monitoring competitor’s activity.
Responsible to complement all activities that relate to marketing duty.
Managing the budget of the marketing department and making sure the budget spend is delivering a return on investment.
Management of the marketing mix, managing customer/client, measuring success, managing to achieve targets and ensuring timely delivery/execution of work.
Meet or exceed marketing performance measures.
Provide monthly product updates to management.
Willing to travel 70% for the local assigned territory and manage internal teams.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES

Age below 35
Must be a Science Graduate with MBA in Marketing or Pharma background.
Minimum 3-7 years experience as a Marketing Manager.
Experience working in the Pharma industry is preferred.
Extensive knowledge of marketing strategies, channels, and branding.
Strong brand awareness, commercial skills, and familiarity with industry standards.
Strong leadership skills with prior experience managing a team.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Very well-developed negotiation skills.
Proficient IT skills. (Email, MS-Office, etc.)
Ambitious, energetic, target-driven, initiative-taker, and highly motivated.
Effective people manager, communicator, and team-oriented individual.
Self-starter with drive and the ability to work autonomously, planning their own work and time effectively.
Valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel.
