“Deshodaya Development Finance Company (DDFC) is in the forefront of Microfinance in Sri Lanka engaged providing finance to micro and SME sector in the Country. The company has 30 Branches and 32 Customer Service Centers spread over the Island covering all districts having over 600 employees. DDFC is a subsidiary of “Sarvodaya Economic Enterprises Development Services (Guarantee) Limited (SEEDS).
Due to expansion of its business in DDFC the following vacancy is existing for those who wish to join hands with a dynamic growing work force.
Assistant General Manager – HR
The right candidate must be a proactive, self motivated and dynamic person with a professional outlook and proven track record. He/she should be in charge of the Company’s HR Department, directly reporting to the CEO and should possess the ability to assist and lead the Company’s Human Resources Strategies and policies, formulate and manage all the related matters to achieve overall organizational goals by performing the following key job functions.
Key Job Profile:
• Formulation & Implementation of HR Strategies.
• Re-define the HR manual that align to meet the strategic goals of the business and industry norms.
• Introduce best practices in HR
• Identifying and implementation of training needs.
• Development of appropriate channels for implementation of disciplinary measures, grievance handling & employee counseling.
• Implementation of effective Performance Management System.
• In-depth knowledge in state-of-the-art HR practices to attract and retain the talent.
• Strategic planning of all aspects in HR, managing change & engaging team members in a fast paced dynamic environment.
• Re-evaluate the employee job descriptions and re-define in line with achieving the corporate objectives
Qualifications and Experience:
• Should possess a Degree majoring in HR management or equivalent qualifications in HR Management from a recognized University or from a recognized body.
• MBA and/or banking qualification would be an added advantage.
• 05 to 10 years experience in HR in a Financial Institution or a similar organization, of which at least 3 years in a senior/corporate management position.
• Good command in speaking & writing skills in ‘Sinhala’ & English’ is a must and the ability to at least converse in ‘Tamil’ would be an added advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure, independently and with limited supervision.
Preferred Age: 30 to 45 years
Salary: An attractive package will be offered based on qualifications & experience.
