The accountant has to handle the daily Finance department duties of
the organization. Also, the applicant must be able to operate
independently and under Pressure. Should be able to cope with Sudden and Variable Situations which could arise amidst the normal course of work. The applicant should be capable of implementing and maintaining 5s standards to ensure a proper work environment.
Job Role
– Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts
payable and receivables, billing, general ledger entries, and month-end/year-end close processes.
– Excellent knowledge of Taxation, Final Accounting, Auditing and
costing, etc.
– Responsible for all ftnancial functions of the related operation.
– Preparation of periodic financial statements and reports.
– Responsible for bank deposits, payments, and bank reconciliation.
– Maintaining books of accounts and processing payments.
– Manage payments and cash books.
Requirements:
– Excellent knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles.
– Fully qualified with a Diploma in Accounting/AAT/ CA or Chartered (a Bachelor’s degree in Accounts or Finance will be an added advantage).
– Experience in handling annual audits and taxation.
– Sound knowledge of Accounting packages (Tally and ERP will be an added advantage).
– Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
– Preferably a Male candidate aged below 35 years.
– Knowledge of MS Office Package and E-mail is a must.
– Good communication skills both oral & and written in English and Sinhala.
– Self-motivated and result-oriented personality.
– Preference will be given to candidates residing close to the Moratuwa area
