Centre for Policy Alternatives has a vacancy for an experienced individual to work as:
Coordinator – Research and Advocacy Team
Qualifications/Experience:
– Graduate, background in social sciences and/or five or more years of NGO experience
– Experience in drafting & coordinating project proposals, budgets/forecasts
– Knowledge and experience in the field of Research and Advocacy will be an advantage
– Ability to Multi – task in a confidential environment
Other Skills/Attributes:
– Very good interpersonal skills
– Very good in written and spoken English
– Knowledge of spoken Sinhala and/or Tamil
– High competency in the use of Microsoft Office
– Good in narrative report writing and filling up standard report formats
Main Functions:
– Liaison with funding agencies on all aspects of project funding
– Work closely with the researchers, transforming project ideas and plans to effective project proposals to be forwarded to funding agencies
– Preparation, review and revision of budgets of the projects
– Work closely with Admin & Finance Departments in fulfilling project requirements
– Assist in recruitment and induction of new staff
– Procurement of supplies and services for projects
– Settlement of bills/invoices and approving them for payment
