Project Manager

Every team member is laser-focused on digital commerce and the technology ecosystem that supports it. We design, build & support large volume, highly scalable and engaging eCommerce solutions. Vacancies currently exist in our Netstarter Colombo Office for the above post.

Responsible For:

To lead and manage teams to deliver projects efficiently and effectively while meeting cost, schedule and scope constraints while achieving the expected quality standards.

Main Activities:

• Ensure projects are delivered within agreed cost, time frame and scope with the expected quality standards
• Act as the focal point of contact between Sri Lankan team and Australian team / Client
• Conduct estimation meetings and author project schedules in a timely manner for projects, change requests and any other scope of work as required
• Organize, conduct, and attend project sprint planning, technical design & review meetings with project stakeholders to create (agile) project plans by defining clear, attainable objectives and milestones
• Drive the project team members to ensure requirements are groomed, clarified and refined before a sprint is commenced
• Drives sprint planning to create tasks, and work with project team to determine and refine estimates based on refined requirements
• Perform risk analysis for projects and manage the identified risks throughout the project and / or until all risks are closed
• Provide detail weekly WIPs to all project stakeholders and participate in regular project reviews with senior management
• Collect and report data on agreed KPIs for projects and project team members
• Facilitate lessons learned and retrospectives to identify and recommend process improvements and then work with the rest of the delivery management team to implement agreed changes / improvements to the delivery process
• Act as an agile / scrum coach to the project team members to develop their awareness & competency in agile and scrum principles
• Actively contribute to ongoing delivery process improvement activities
• Actively participate for annual performance review of employees and provide constant constructive feedback for career development of individuals
• Accept and perform other responsibilities / tasks assigned by the management

Qualifications and Typical Experience:

• Bachelors degree in related field
• Minimum 4 years experience in software development environment as a project team member (Dev, QA, UI)
• Minimum 2+ years experience in managing software development projects preferably in an agile — scrum environment
• PMP / CSM / PMI ACP certification will be an added advantage
