CAD/CAM Designer – Furniture Design Experience (Dehiwala)

Our client is an Australian business and a market leader in the customized Hi-End furniture manufacturing. And they are currently seeking an experienced CAD/CAM Designer who can produce detailed furniture drawings/designs and 3D models. This suits a self-motivated professional who is looking for a chance to make their mark from the company’s continuous growth.
The right individual will enjoy working in a fast paced environment alongside a team of experienced professionals with attractive salary.
Your normal work hours will start at 9:00am Sydney time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
– Design and development of furniture products using CAD/CAM softwares.
– Able to multitask and time manage.
– Experience working in furniture manufacturing industry
– Launch new collections
Qualifications:
– Certificate of Draughtsmanship or diploma from a recognized technical institute or equivalent qualification.
– Good knowledge of Adobe CS, 2D/3D CAD/CAM Drawings, Auto CAD
– Good knowledge of Microvellum – used for the majority of our cabinet 3D drawing to machining processes
– Good knowledge of Trade Soft – EPR system for full factory management
– Good knowledge of Ardis – specialised optimising for complicated panelling
– Minimum of 02 years experience in furniture design drafting
– Possess the desire to be creative with practical knowledge
– Innovative thinking and with the ability to interact with customers.
– Understand their requirements and serve customers independently.
– Should possess qualifications in interior designing from a recognized university or training center.
– Understanding of manufacturing process and well-crafted products
– Able to use Solid works to an expert level
– Experience producing production drawings Fantastic communication skills
