Assistant Manager – Health Safety & Environment Biyagama, Sri Lanka

• Industry: Glove Manufacturing.
• Education: B.Sc. Degree / Diploma in NIOSH or SHE related equivalent professional qualification.
• Requirement: Inspect and evaluate the environment, machines, equipment’s and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with local law / international standards and reinforce the safety aspects of the employees / machineries.
• Minimum Experience: Minimum 03-05 years of experience in similar capacity.

Job Description:

• Promote and maintain proper health, safety and environmental practices throughout all company activities.
• Review the company Health, Safety and Environment Policies and procedures on regular basis and keep them up to date while making recommendations on their implementation and application.
• Ensure that Local Policy Statements/Emergency Response Plans and Fire Risk Assessments are completed on time while assuring the quality.
• Devise, develop and monitor effective Risk Assessment management strategies, Aspect, Impact evaluations and make necessary recommendations to implement of those strategies.
• Provide necessary training for all employees in relation to Health and Safety policies, practice and procedures.
• Meeting all the standard and auditing requirements such as OSHAS 18001 / ISO 14001 and other Compliance’s related to SHE.

• Knowledge in Social compliance s such as ETI / SA 8000 would be an added advantage.
