Job Description:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
● Recommended Experience:
○ Good analytical and problem solving skills
○ Experience in research and development of software that deliver market value.
○ Experience in Java
○ Experience with any RDBMS and / or in a NoSQL databases like Redis, Mongo, Cassandra is preferred.
○ Experience in using Free & Open Source Software.
○ Good understanding of application frameworks
○ Experience with UML modeling
○ Expert command of OO concepts and techniques
○ Experience in functional/low level programming languages.
○ Good knowledge on design patterns and technical concepts
○ Good understanding of data structures and algorithm
○ Good ability to deliver technical artifacts on time with high quality
○ Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain the rationale behind research and design decisions
○ Good presentation skills and articulation skills
○ Ability to facilitate discussions with technical staff and other department staff
○ Ability to systematically create reasoned estimates to develop components, subsystems, and complex software-intensive systems
○ Knowledge of code refactoring
○ Ability to independently learn and actively seek new skills and knowledge to advance the R&D capabilities of the organization
○ Ability to dive into new technologies and languages across multiple platforms
○ Ability to participate in design sessions, architecture reviews, security reviews and R&D meetings
○ Should be able to function effectively in an agile project setting.
○ Understanding and clear focus on writing the highly performant software components.
○ Ability to be self-motivated
● Experience in the following technologies:
○ Linux Platform, Java Technologies, Javascript, Ant / Maven, REST Services, NoSQL DB
