Our client, Telecom Fiji Limited (TFL) is a premium telecommunications company in Fiji, providing telephony, data, broadband, customer premises equipment, prepaid services, intemet and web hosting services. The company is currently in the process of upgrading its National Operations Centre (Centre) and is seeking to appoint an experienced and qualified professional to the position of Senior Manager National Operations Centre (SMNO)
Reporting to the General Manager Engineering, the SMNO will manage the daily activities of the Centre including developing and implementing the strategic, commercial and operational goals for the company that will firmly place it at the forefront of innovation, quality and customer service.
Key responsibilities will include:
■ Managing the upgrade of the National Operations Centre as well as the integration of the different layers of the network systems
■ Establishing strategies and targets for the development of the core network systems in line with the company’s objectives
■ Liaising with the relevant divisions to take corrective and preventative actions in relation to the network systems
■ Ensuring the effective management of the Centre including strategic planning, budget, human resource management and operations planning
■ Establishing a strong and cohesive working relationship with all stakeholders
■ Providing strategic advice and recommendations to the management team
■ Driving change, innovation and continuous improvement in support of customer service and business opportunities.
Qualification & Experience:
■ Degree in Telecommunications or a related discipline. A post graduate qualification would be highly regarded.
■ At least five years proven management experience in a similar position.
■ Programme management skills with some understanding of telecommunications network systems.
■ Disaster management experience would be an advantage
■ Highly developed technical skills and commercial acumen.
