Programme Officer – Colombo Office (Contract Position)
The Mines Advisory Group (MAG) is a British non-governmental organization undertaking humanitarian mine action around the world. MAG is working to save lives and build futures in Sri Lanka by reducing the risk presented by remnants of conflict.
MAG is seeking a motivated and committed individual capable of drafting high quality donor reports and funding proposals. The PO will work under the supervision of the Country Director (CD) to monitor contractual obligations and promote MAG’s work and Humanitarian Mine Action more widely.
Desirable candidates should ideally have existing knowledge of institutional donors and potential funding mechanisms. Further, an excellent grasp of written and spoken English is essential.

• Knowledge of the international humanitarian development arena
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to coordinate activities
• Excellent numeracy and IT skills (MS Office etc.)

• Flexible and enthusiastic approach to work
• Willingness to undertake routine administrative tasks maintaining attention to detail
Experience:
• Minimum Bachelors level degree in relevant field (social sciences, development studies etc.)
• Previous relevant experience working with an INGO, UN Agency or Embassy
• Able to legally work in Sri Lanka
Remuneration:
• Around Rs. 70,000.00 depending on experience and qualifications
