situated in close proximity to Colombo and is a part of a multinational group with a turnover of more
than USD 5 Billion. We seek the services of an enthusiastic individual, with a proven track record to join
us as Manager — HR & Administration for our plants.
Manager – HR and Administration
As the Manager-HR and Administration, you will have an overall responsibility for all HR and Admin activities for the following specific areas which will include:
– Implementing & maintaining HR policies & procedures in line with the Company objectives.
– Planning & recruiting all levels of employees/staff and maintaining optimum cadre as per the business needs and sustain & improve the effectiveness of HR through better recruitment and retention strategies
– Training and development and facilitating the performance management process of all levels of human resources in the organization
– Maintaining a pay plan by scheduling & conducting job evaluation, preparing of pay budgets, monitoring and scheduling individual payments/salaries & implementing proper pay structure as per the performance of employees
– Implementing procedures to build, maintain and enhance industrial relations with the trade union whilst ensuring that employee grievances/issues are resolved effectively to create a pleasant work environment
– Formulating, implementing and improving health & safety in order to create a healthy & safe working environment
– Handling all aspects of admin activities including security, janitorial services, utility services and
general maintenance
– Liaising with legal & statutory bodies and ensuring that all legal compliance’s/standards/requirements are met for the smooth operation.
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications, skills and experience.
– A degree in HRM from recognized University/Institute or equivalent qualification
– An MBA or relevant professional qualification would be an added advantage
– Minimum of 10 years experience in HR/Admin field in a similar capacity
– Excellent written & oral communication skills in English
– Strong leadership skills, problem solving and team building capacity
– Age below 40 years
