Our client, Telecom Fiji Limited (TFL) is a premium telecommunications company in Fiji, providing telephony, data, broadband, customer premises equipment, prepaid services, Internet and web hosting services The company is seeking to appoint an experienced and qualified professional to the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Reporting to the Chief Executive Office (CEO), you will be a key member of the executive management team and will be responsible for the overall management of the company’s financial activities and providing strategic financial support and advice to the CEO. You will also be accountable for developing a team of finance staff as well as sustaining valuable relationships with all stakeholders to ensure the company meets its strategic and business objectives.
Key responsibilities will also include:
■ Developing and implementing financial management strategies
■ Ensuring corporate governance, risk management and internal control practices are implemented to meet industry benchmarks
■ Formulating and compiling budgets and developing forecasting models
■ Ensuring the timely and accurate analysis of budgets and financial reports
■ Managing cash flow and variance analysis including accounts receivable, accounts payable and inventory management
■ Ensuring compliance with financial procedures and all reporting obligations
■ Driving change, innovation and best practices in systems, processes and business improvement projects.
Qualification & Experience:
■ A tertiary qualification in an accounting/finance/commerce or a related discipline as well as a member of a professional accounting body
■ A relevant post graduate qualification would be highly regarded.
■ At least seven years experience in a senior finance management role preferably in the telecommunications or ICT sectors.
■ Proven commercial experience and strong financial acumen.
■ Well versed with computer systems for accounting and management reporting.
■ Highly developed leadership and management skills.
■ Advanced analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to think laterally and strategically.
