Our client is an Australian services provider which provides managed services, cloud based solutions, networking infrastructure and support. They are currently seeking the services of professional Systems Administrators for their after hours support.
The successful applicants will work as part of a team to ensure the continued operation and expansion of their infrastructure and services. Ideally you will be qualified in a related IT discipline whilst appropriate vendor certifications will also be viewed favorably. You will be involved in Server/Network maintenance and monitoring, reporting, providing technical level 2/3 support as escalated to you, planning, communicating and implementation of routine changes together with configuration of and deployment of services. The position by nature requires some out of hours work and participation in a rotating on call roster with the possibility of future expansion to a 24/7 operations team.

Your normal work hours will start at 6:00pm Sydney time or 2:00am Sydney time. (12:30pm SL time or 8:30pm SL time)
Experience and Knowledge:
– Minimum of 5 years experience.
– Strong knowledge and experience of Vmware/Citrix/Exchange 2010 up/Server 2008 up.
– A strong understanding of backup software(Veeam/ Shadow protect).
– Network monitoring systems ( PRTG).
– Strong understanding of Voip systems and Networking
– Well honed troubleshooting skills
– Configuration and usage of network monitoring tools ( eg: PRIG).
– VCP, CCA and Windows certification will be highly regarded.

– You are resilient and able to resolve problems effectively.
– Recognise and understand the importance of the customer.
– You can work well under pressure handling multiple tasks, deliver to deadlines and manage conflicting demands and priorities
– You have a team centred approach towards work.
