Position Description
Position Title UI Engineer
Reports To: Technology Director
Business Unit: Technology
Position Overview:
The UI Engineer will work under the direction of the Technology Director to develop software for clients in Australia, Germany and the USA. The client is committed to providing training and development across their standard processes and procedures, including Agile methodology. The client is seeking an experienced UI Engineer for development of a variety of exciting projects.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Work under the direction of the Technology Director to develop websites for international clients
2. Create mobile responsive sites with CMS back-ends
3. Provide ideas on solutions/advice that may improve the outcome
4. Test the software in test environment situations before going live
5. Maintain the site once it is up and running
Qualifications and Knowledge:
Must Have:
• Minimum 2 years commercial experience in front end development with a portfolio of quality websites
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent English skills Nice To Have
• Experience following Agile Methodology
• Experience in PHP development
Experience & Capabilities:
• Strong experience in a similar role
• Proven ability to work autonomously
• HTML5 / CSS3
• Knowledge of Bootstrap Library
• Extensive JavaScript and Jquery knowledge
• Responsive site designing with media queries
• Experience in WordPress, Joomla, OpenCart, Magento theme development will be a plus
• Knowledge and experience in PHP/MySQL will be an added advantage
• High integrity and a burning desire to succeed
