A Company In The Travel & Tourism Industry For 36 Years Looks For a System Support Engineer
Job Role:
* Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings,directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and operational requirements.
* Perform daily system monitoring, verify integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, review system and application logs, and verify completion of scheduled jobs.
* Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
* Perform daily backup operations, file archival, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created.
* Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.
* Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.
* Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
* Configure / add new services as necessary.
* Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.
* Perform periodic performance reporting to support business process.
* Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
* Train staff on IT related systems
* Help Desk Support
* Coordinate and fulfill other departmental system requirements.
* Find system solutions for operational needs.
The ideal candidate should be a male between the age of 25-35 years and should have following qualifications.
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Information Technology
* MCSA certification is an added advantage
* Fluency in spoken and written English
* Hands on experience in ERP system management, latest Windows platform is essential & experience in ORACLE finance will be an added advantage.
