Senior/Software Engineers – PHP (3) (Sri Lanka)

Techtrion Inc., a Canadian full service IT Company is looking for a motivated Senior and Software Engineers for our Jaffna office in Sri Lanka. The Successful candidates should be able to work in LAMP environment with PHPS, WordPress providing web services for large, complex web applications. Our developers apply themselves in flexible, creative and cooperative ways to meet our goals. We continually strive for excellence in ourselves, our products and our services.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop high-performance, stable, robust and secure code from scratch or by adapting existing technology to meet business requirements.
• Maintain existing Web Applications
• Develop enhancements to existing applications
• Test, Identify and resolve any technical problems and glitches
• Hands on experience in HTMLS, Javascript, CSS, jQuery and Ajax
• Familiarity with the open source technologies Zen Cart, Drupal and Joomla with ability to create custom modules and customize code if need be.
• Understanding of internet security and ability to develop code that is secure against-all forms of injection
• Exceptional analytical, design and planning skills
• Excellent communication (Written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple assignments and complete assigned tasks as scheduled
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a collaborative environment
• Ability to adapt and learn new technologies
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment
• Should be comfortable in working under pressure when required
• Experience in a web Hosting or working directly with hosting providers would be added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/Software Engineering or any other related degrees
• Around 2 Years of industry experience
• Knowledge of international web standards and protocols
• Familiarity with illustrator/Photoshop/Acrobat Professional
• Relevant certification will be an advantage
