Lead and Junior Developer – Java/PHP/Web services Focus

My client are services business based in Australia and New Zealand. We are looking for Java developers to join our IT Team in Sri Lanka. You will be working in a Global team, dealing with senior stakeholders of the wider business.
What you will be doing:
As an able communicator you’ll work in project teams and play a key role in a variety of interesting development and design initiatives. You’ll have responsibility for implementing strategic architectural control and ensuring high development standards at all times. You’ll need to leverage and manage contractors as necessary and work directly with vendor implementation teams ensuring deliverables are being met.
You’ll oversee the software and integration patterns of all Web Services and implementation of specialised components such as enriched metadata feeds, recommendations engines, social integrations, etc will be executed through.
What you’ll need to be successful:
For Lead Developer
– Java/J2EE developer who has previously worked in a heavy web environment at a senior level (+ 7 years).
– object oriented PHP experience is desirable
– Comfortable using revision control, testing your code, maintaining a clean and tidy codebase, and following a release discipline.
– A background that shows an ability to offer strategic guidance to stakeholders to ensure the delivery of relevant and cutting edge software.
– Experience with Web and Application servers (e.g. JBoss or Apache Tomcat).
– Mobile or device development experience a plus not absolutely necessary.
– Understanding of Scrum methodologies would be nice but not essential
Linux/Apache
– Knowledge about cloud computing
For Junior Developer
– Java/J2EE developer who has previously worked in a heavy web environment at a senior level (less than 2 years).
– Object oriented PHP experience
