We are growing our team and are looking for a Test Automation Architect

We want to be perfect in what we do. We are looking for a talented leader who is technically oriented and well versed in the Software Quality Assurance Life cycle. You will play an integral role in a team that strives to set new standards.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in an open, dynamic environment and collaborate closely with our teams in New York and Colombo.

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 8+ years of hands-on test automation experience.
• Extensive experience in architecting and deploying test automation frameworks particularly for cloud based systems • Proven experience across testing for functionality, integration and performance
• Well versed in QA methodologies especially around test strategy and plans
• Very good knowledge of Software development lifecycles such as SCRUM, Kanban and RUP
• Demonstrable experience with Selenium and a proprietary tool such as HP Quick Test Pro and Borland Silk Test
• Good experience with Test Management using HP Quality Center, Silk Central, TestLink or similar tools
• Strong knowledge of software configuration management, build processes, virtualization and requirement tools.
• Experienced in writing software in Java and scripting languages using object oriented concepts and patterns
• Experience in test driven and/or behavior driven development would be an advantage
• Well adapted to working as part of a globally distributed team

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership for the design and implementation of test automation frameworks needed to test a complex, high-throughput distributed system
• Strategize and align long term solution for automation including roadmap, tools, framework & approach.
• Provide technical oversight to a test automation team
• Lead automation test case design and code coverage reviews
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product and Professional Services organizations on automation priorities and plans
• Work with the Support Organization and Developers to troubleshoot major product issues, determine root causes, and identify solutions
• Analyze defect patterns across entire product and drive test initiatives to resolve these or prevent them in the future
• Conduct in-depth performance analyses
• Drive improved test coverage across the product

Educational qualifications:

• A Bachelors/Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience can be substituted for a degree.
